I was setting up a new employee’s account the other day and joked that they needed a password that could withstand a cyber attack. I told them to think of their favorite phrase and then add a special character for good measure. They replied, ‘So, like, instead of ‘I love coffee,’ I should put in ‘I
coffee!’?’. I had to remind them that while creativity is great, an emoji doesn’t help with password strength! Anyone else have funny stories about password policies gone wrong?
